Lara serves as the Head of Business and Human Rights and Senior Legal Adviser at Global Rights Compliance. As a seasoned business and human rights expert, she has extensive experience supporting companies, civil society organisations, and governments in mitigating grave human rights risks across global supply chains. Lara’s expertise lies particularly in remediation and innovative models for due diligence, with a focus on promoting de-centralised models including community-based monitoring. In her role at GRC, she also offers advisory services to companies on issues of international humanitarian and criminal law. Prior to joining GRC, she worked in-house at a FTSE 100 mining company, advising on international affairs, including industry and government relations.
