Since 2020, Piero has been the Chairman of the «Italian Association of Investor Relations» (AIR). Between 2014 and 2018, he was Head of Investor Relations of the UniCredit Group. He implemented two strategic plans and a 13 billion euro rights issue. In 2017 he came in third place as “Runner Up” in the IRO and, consequently, under his leadership, UniCredit was ranked first for European IR bank, as well as for Corporate Governance and Disclosure. While at UniCredit, Piero held a number of important responsibilities including Global Co-Head of Corporate Finance & Advisory and Head of Insurance Investment Banking. Between 2003 and 2007, Piero managed the European P&C Run-Off at Swiss Re and was an Executive Member of Staff in the M&A department of Zurich Insurance. Previously, he was Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in European Financial Institutions and, prior to that, an equity analyst at Deutsche Bank.
